Moonrise Kingdom

Wes Anderson is one of my favorite directors. I love the look of his films; it's pretty easy to recognize one of his next to others as he has a unique and consistent style. And since The Life Aquatic he has been working with color in a way that is magical! One of my top five films is Rushmore with Jason Schwartzman and Bill Murray. This new film Moonrise Kingdom looks amazing and I'm so excited to see Bill Murray in the gang again. He's one of the greatest. Lost in Translation by Sofia Coppola is another film in my top five favorite, one in which he starred opposite Scarlett Johansson.
So here's the trailer for Wes Anderson's latest. Enjoy!

B and I just watched this amazing video that he found via Neil Gaiman's twitter feed. I recommend taking a moment to watch. And go hug a book after it's over.
Here you can find the uploaded video with its description below.
Enjoy and goodnight!

Hello again mid January (almost...)
Saturday, January 7, 2012
I'm used to starting school in mid January but this semester we began nearly two weeks earlier. Yes, I'm happy that this results in me being done by the end of April, but what about winter break? Come on. These full schedules require rest in between, no? I did have a nice two weeks off though. I'm just used to being spoiled with four. And I really can't complain. There is still Spring Break...yes...
So it's two days now into Spring semester and, you know, I'm feeling pretty good. I'm having fun so far. I've even been getting work done tonight. I took a break to snap some photos knowing I wanted to write a post about school beginning, but was it really a break? Or am I already falling into procrastination? I did spend a lot of time playing with filters and effects... Either way, I have an open textbook to my left and I'm not whining at all about having to read a chapter. My academic to do list for the week is already getting lots of check marks. Hooray for a good start :)
Good luck to everyone else who has started school or will be starting soon!
p.s. Just heard a great song via Pandora radio...I was reminded of this great album...Up From Below by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. And good music makes me think of an album on my wishlist right now, The Concretes In Colour by The Concretes.
